Science and Technology Advisory Council (STAC)

The STAC comprises a number of independent worldwide recognised scientists and industrialists whose role is to monitor the neuromuscular diseases research of the partners and benchmark it against the worldwide state-of-the-art.

The STAC will also suggest methods to improve the efficiency of the research and the transfer of new knowledge to industry.

Members of the STAC include:

Ségolène Aymé - Director of Research at INSERM and Executive Director of Orphanet

Kenneth Fischbeck - Adjunct Investigator at the National Human Genome Research Institute, Senior Investigator at the Neurogenetics Branch of the NINDS

Roland Foisner - Chair of the Division of Molecular Cell Biology, Department of Medical Biochemistry, and Medical University Vienna

Pat Furlong - Founding President and CEO of Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD)

Krzysztof Jagla - Research Director in INSERM's U384 Laboratory and Coordinator of MYORES

Christophe Marcelle - Sub-Coordinator of MYORES

John Porter - Program Director for Neuromuscular Disease at the National Institute for Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), which is an institute of the US National Institutes of Health (NIH)

Boris Šuštaršic - President of the European Alliance of Muscular Dystrophy Associations (EAMDA)

Marianne de Visser (Chair) - Academic Medical Centre, University of Amsterdam
