Whilst the TREAT-NMD network received EU FP6 funding it consisted of 21 partners covering 11 European countries, but it was also recognised that there were many other organisations, institutions, companies and individuals who were doing much valuable work in the neuromuscular field and would benefit from closer links with TREAT-NMD. Whilst 'partnership' in the network was restricted to those who had signed a contract with the EU to perform specific tasks within the network, 'membership' was open to all!

All applicants had to agreed to adhere to our 'Members’ Charter'. Members benefited from closer ties with the network and special access to the tools and resources the network provides worldwide, and we worked together with our members to help implement the network’s goals, from improved patient care to specialist scientific training, in members' countries worldwide.

Now that the European funding has ended and the new gorvernance structure is operational we will be releasing a new membership charter and application form in due course. We have been in touch with past members and organizations 'known to the network' with regards to this.
