Stéphane Roques

With qualifications in business studies, sociology and financial analysis, Stéphane Roques first gained extensive management experience at Arthur Andersen, where he led consultancy and audit projects within a large number of companies and not-for-profit organizations.

After serving as Secretary General at the AFM (the French Muscular Dystrophy Association), he took on similar responsibilities at the Institut de Myologie at the Pitié-Salpêtrière University Medical Centre in Paris, with the objective of structuring and developing this centre of excellence in fundamental and clinical research on muscle and muscle diseases.

In January 2009, Stéphane Roques became Secretary General of Généthon - the AFM's research arm, which is seeking to demonstrate the efficacy of gene therapy for rare diseases in general and neuromuscular diseases in particular.

Stéphane was appointed as Chairman of GenoSafe on February 1st, 2010
