Date:  Monday 20th June (9.30 a.m.) - Tuesday 28th June (5.30 pm), 2011.

Profile required: physicians or scientists with some interest in neuromuscular disorders, preferably juniors. Selection based on CV and publications.

Number of participants:  60 max.

Topics: basic myology - muscular dystrophies - spinal muscular atrophies and hereditary neuropathies - congenital muscular dystrophies - congenital myopathies - metabolic myopathies - myasthenic syndromes - chanelopathies - cardiomyopathies - management and therapies.

Format: intensive 7-day course (8.30 am – 5.30 pm). Half-day break on the first week.

- Morning session: 4 lectures including fundamental and practical aspects in one area of myology.

- Early-afternoon session: Interactive workshops: case studies, muscle imaging, myogenetics…

- Late-afternoon session: lecture on a more general topic by a guest speaker.

Teachers: Faculty members and/or myologists from France, and internationally recognised experts.

Scientific committee: J. Andoni Urtizberea, Thomas Voit, Gisèle Bonne, Bruno Eymard, Olivier Benveniste, Michel Fardeau, Norma B. Romero.

Official language: English.

Registration fees: 450 EUR. Covering all teaching materials (including one CD-ROM compiling most slides and relevant papers) and coffee breaks.
