Canadian National Youth Conference

24 - 26 Aug 2012

Calgary, Alberta, Canada

YIA2012 is an action-packed weekend in Calgary with youth and families affected by neuromuscular disorders. Those attending will be participating in interactive workshops, hearing from inspirational speakers, and enjoying social evenings with lots of great entertainment.

You’ll explore options, hear about new opportunities, receive advice from people who know what it’s like to be where you are, and get motivated to advocate for changes that will improve the lives of people with muscular dystrophy. You will also have the opportunity to tell Muscular Dystrophy Canada Board members and staff about what matters to you and how we can help you achieve your dreams.

YIA12 is not just for youth. Everyone is welcome, including health and service professionals, clients, family members and caregivers, and people of any age who wish to participate in this amazing program.

Youth under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an attendant or chaperone.

All guests at YIA12, including attendants and family members who are accompanying youth, are expected to attend all of the workshops, presentations, and other activities that will be held throughout the weekend.
